ShotClick is a screenplay editor: professional formatting, locked scene numbers, revision passes, production breakdown, and .fdx import and export.

This plugin lets ChatGPT work inside the script itself instead of returning loose text. It reads your projects, scenes, subject, treatment, outline, characters, research notes and comments, and writes back properly formatted scenes, loglines, treatments and outline beats. Your existing permissions apply: on a shared project, a viewer stays read-only through the plugin too.

It can open a "what if" branch from any scene, so an alternate version of the story is written in parallel without touching the original. It also reaches AI Studio, the screenplay-to-video pipeline: it looks at the generated keyframes and reference images, then writes the image and video prompts that match them.

No tool deletes anything — not a scene, not a project, not a note — and no tool spends AI credits. Connecting requires a ShotClick account on the Studio plan, which includes the MCP connector.
