TaxMCP

TaxMCP gives ChatGPT citation-grounded access to U.S. tax authority. It searches and retrieves the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, IRS publications and guidance, selected state tax statutes, and U.S. Tax Court opinions.

Seven read-only research tools support broad tax-law search, direct section lookup, IRS publication and guidance retrieval, Tax Court opinion retrieval, case citation-activity research, and statutory cross-reference analysis. Results include source identifiers and citation URLs so users can inspect the underlying authority.

TaxMCP is built for CPAs, enrolled agents, tax attorneys, researchers, and others who need source-linked tax research inside their existing AI workflow. It does not file returns, submit forms, make payments, edit records, or provide legal or tax advice. Case citation activity is not a substitute for Shepard's, KeyCite, or another authoritative current-validity check.
